Flood the Drinking Fields
I feel the Summer's heat
Lurking on my skin
All farewell to you my friend
Till we meet again.
I peered into the sky
As it struck me down
A cask of sweat laid to thee
Wiping from my brow.
And, as I gaze too ponder
Holding onto words
To dream a little dream
Eyes picture starts to blur.
The water quickly came
As so did my buzz
Cup half empty
Laid face first
Writhing in disgust.
Then the waters ran
As the flowers bloomed
Heads grow sick, like a trick,
Drowning in the gloom.
