The Showman Must Go On!
He never got the girl, he never got the gig.
A lonely man on the road had said:
"Look at where I've been."
It wasn't good enough, so each step he took with heed
Never had the chance to start, or live a life within the means.
He rarely felt a love, though, he had much to know and choose.
But the love that loved more than love, was never where he moved.
He tried to work and change–to spare him a bit of rest,
From a heart that is broken oh so quick, requiring longer on the mend.
Sought out upon his dream amongst the tears toward goals.
The only fear that this man had was what he did would never show.
Back and forth he traveled, to be inspiring for those who watched,
The nice guy that finished last, puts the show on for you all.
