Wanderer in a Sea of Fog (Pier-14)
I inherit the gloom
Washed away are my memories
A ghost staring at the waves
Negating the existence of everything.
I left her in the sand
Then turned my back on pier
Forgotten under shells, erasing all the years.
I chased her down with rum
Then set my eyes to sleep
The ebb and flow to where my memories shoal
Castaway the deeds that hath brought wrought on me.
Though, I unlock my door:
Greeting empty walls white and plain,
If painted pictures hung from thought
These walls here would still be stained
