Walking Where We Rest
A mind's simple shore
Ruined by waves of thought
Its rushing waters separate
The daydreams in our walks
Forgetting all these goals
It crashes against your dreams
A puddle of reality,
Breaking from ebbing sea
Stare along the horizon
Our wishes will have set
Beyond the line of time
Of where the sun hath left
Should the stars that blink
Nestle into sky
Paint the dust of night
For our viewing lights
Leering in the void
Emotions will refract
Motives that you mirror
Within will not reflect
Stare into the ground
But keep your guiding pace
Move from South to East
Walking to where we rest.
