A New Beginning at The Edge of The Cedar
We dried our eyes in the sunsets
Beyond time, its innumerable measures of suffering
Conveyed the incantations of loneliness
I reached for a rope to smother my thoughts
From a chair, I laughed out loud in the face of adversity.
Locked away amongst a wandering sea of fog
I plummeted to the sound of rain-weathered roofs
Releasing my visions of hope…
Swinging into the remorse of a dying day.
We greet as one in our parting
Shaking the image of memory
Pulled down by trial,
Choking on rejection,
Waiting for our crossing,
Saying goodbye in our parting.
Purgatory: is living through it all.
Tethered to recollection
Teetering on the edge of cedar
Every day’s infinity, a never-ending calamity
Sorrow, we’ve come to greet as friends
