Me and You
Every original thought once lost in arrogance
Became denial from words filed, with fists drawn now recompensed.
Desensitized in the times as ego birthed an era's kid.
As an Aries mind seeks to find
Burning tongues through ember lips.
War to the battlements.
Artillery: a former friend
Cannoned blastings sound
Sword and hilt for global trends.
Mirror: our enemy
Destroying what we see.
Could we break the shell shock,
From the face that eats from our silver walls?
Bullets spray our bedrooms
Penetrating the clothes that we out-grew
Ruby thoughts with doom
A face in a sink in a washroom.
A place we lay, Xanax blues,
A chariot of death at our shoes,
Reflections stare, and then there are two
A familiar face: me and you... in the mirror.
