The Motionless
A conscious sea,
Dawned kelp-crowned wreathes
Deepening thoughts,
Along endless reeds
A guiding tide
Cleansed the dock
Under sand
A fallen star
A watchful glow
Of its ebbing nest
Solar rays
Drowned the skin
A wrenching heart,
Bore Triton bone
A million miles
From safer shores
A compass points,
Clutching chest
One last breath
The Motionless
