Contagion of Complacency (A 2020 Pandemic Poem)

'Tis better to stay indoors, 

Than to watch the world bleed 

All these faces corrupt--confounded 

Wearing masks of treason. 

No revolution comes, 

We're complacent within reason 

The people only riot 

For a team, that they think's worth winning. 

The food has not run out 

The water has not dried 

The power is still on, 

Why revolt in this frame of time?
