Elm & Asphyxia
Yellow light, beads on sullen street
Effervescently illuminating wet worms & trees
Casting shadow, in the yard, I dream
Lost in my visions, forgetting if it's summer or spring?
Wide-eyed t'wart the comets
Flag poles clink amongst the night
Pondering on a life
Never showing face nor sight
Thus, further into the dark, I travel
Welcomed by its embrace
Somewhere into the woods, I go
Picking out where I would hang
Should my portrait soon be found
By the wandering eyes that would stumble
Would they see a hanging man,
Or a Fool who fell in love?
