Heartström
Do you hear that thunder?
Yes, that's my heart beating too.
With feelings missed every night
Pondering on thoughts of you.
Its scent of emptiness lingered,
Swaying back and forth in tune,
Under nite-painted globes of portrait pictures,
Brushing thoughts onto hollowed moon.
If I could race back to amend,
I would wish on a starry fire.
I would call out to the rain,
To drown me in your silver lakes once more.
Beneath broken orbs of love
Believing as best I could,
I would rather ride the comet
Than to remain revolving without you.
In a place of your absence,
In a place where love left,
Our sky grows dimmer
And less we shimmer,
The farther that we drift.
