Summer's Gone
Hares. . . Glowing like pyres.
Raising-a-splinter, to a blink of an eye.
My ink thickens, burning the lines
Expanding our fires diminished to sky,
Avoiding the smoke as a bellow to rise,
Catching its heat from the howls of our plights.
Keeping at bay heart-strings: rescinded
Deep winds expulsed not worth a mention,
Blanket this winter, sleep in its sewers
Breath that we take in, hailed by pollution.
Wolves..Eat..Moths;
Rivers swept
Current Calls,
Enter Mouth
Ghost of Marsh
The Haunting Doors: Closed to All.
Fireflies dance, a war of defiance...
Luminous depth, night calls; reliance.
Moving through dark, negating its guidance
Better to leave than to rest in its silence
